Visual Merchandising Coordinator (Multi-Store)
We are looking for visual merchandising coordinator with 3+ years of relevant work experience*. The ideal candidate for this position must enjoy handling a wide variety of responsibilities from planning and sourcing to hands-on implementation. Additionally, the person who will be successful in this position must:
- Have demonstrated knowledge in visual and/or graphic design, and have a good understanding of construction materials, substrates, etc.
- Have the ability to thoroughly plan and execute visual merchandising strategies that support the overall brand experience.
- Possess an outstanding attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Be comfortable speaking in front of groups to provide ongoing VM training to new hires.
- Have the ability to clearly think through and resolve merchandising challenges for various departments.
- Be good with numbers in order to source visual merchandising products at the best possible price, manage the VM budget, and to gather requirements for fixtures, displays and custom-built materials.
- Have exceptional verbal and written communication skills, and be diplomatic and tactful at all times.
- Have solid computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Ability to move, lift or handle up to 50 pounds repeatedly, and 60 pounds occasionally.
This position will be hourly and work an average of 32 to 40 hours per week. This person needs to work flexible hours including occasional nights and weekends or as needed to fulfill the job duties.
*A college degree and relevant internship would be considered comparable as 3+ years of experience pending ability to demonstrate capacity to understand marketing, business communications, and program development.
