Visual Space Planner
Visual Space Planning is the art of arranging merchandise assortments within Lowe?s stores to improve layout and presentation, increasing traffic sales. The Visual Space Planner develops merchandise layouts which creates an appealing environment for the Lowe?s customer meets the goals of Merchandising. The Visual Space Planner is the point of communication with Merchandising on all things ?space? and serves as the primary liaison for Store Planning Environment. Responsibilities: Develop recommend Space Plans which optimize space productivity for reset, remerch, and new store projects. Ensure Category allocation within the Department meets the space and performance goals, in conjunction with preferred planogram adjacencies. Coordinate and facilitate changes/additions/revisions to merchandise presentation with Store Environment, as it relates to Graphics and Fixtures for aligned merchandise categories/divisions. Partner with Merchant team on overall Visual Space Planning objectives, challenging for optimization. Provide Space allocation and performance reporting to SPM and MVP of assigned Department Attend line reviews other kick-off meetings, becoming immersed in the subject matter, obtaining all relevant information needed to perform job duties. Create Core/Template Planograms which represent the visual presentation standards and product placement goals of merchandising, and optimize space/shelf productivity. Communicate goals versioning for store specific challenges as required. Clearly communicate all changes to space to SPE partners Maintain develop store specific Merchandise Plans, creating prototype standards revisions as needed. Maintain store profiling database ? existing store layout evaluations Required Qualifications: 4 Year College Degree, Commercial Interior Design or Retail Planning preferred 5-7 Years experience in one of the following areas: Big Box/warehouse Retail Design, Home Improvement Retail, Space Planning, Visual Product Merchandising, or Merchandising Excellent leadership, negotiation and organizational skills Superior analytical and negotiation skills; and master at conflict resolution Organized with strong presentation abilities Preferred Qualifications: AutoCAD, JDA Floor Planning, or other CAD-assisted software experience JDA Space Planning, or other shelf management software experience.
