VMWare Administrator Job in Greenville, South Carolina US

Logic Technology Inc. (LTI) is seeking VMWare Administrators at the Intermediate to Senior Project level.

The successful candidate will be expected to perform the following associated tasks:

 

o    Installation/deployment/upgrade of large scale ESX/ESXi Hosts

o    Installation/deployment of Virtual Center servers

o    Installation/deployment of HA/DRS Clusters

o    Configuring hosts networking using multiple vlans and trunked ports

o    Configuring hosts iSCSI, NFS, and SAN mounts

o    Guest OS template maintenance/mobility support in Enterprise Virtual Infrastructure

o    Deployment of Virtual machines from template

o    Migrate Virtual machine host and storage using Vmotion / SVmotion

o    Perform P2V / V2V migrations using VMware Converter / Platespin

o    Utilize various tools for SSH access to ESX/ESXi Hosts

o    Perform vmfs file manipulations utilizing ESX/ESXi Command Line Interface (CLI)

o    Troubleshoot VSphere, ESX/ESXi, and guest machine issues

 

The qualifications for this role will vary according to level and will include:

 

o    Experience in an enterprise-level Active Directory environment. Multiple Forest/Child domain support experience desired

o    Sound, knowledge based troubleshooting skills with the ability to provide Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and correct solutions

o    Demonstrated teamwork skills working with clients, vendors, and cross-functional teams

o    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

o    Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task

o    Ability to work well independently or with a group

 

Certifications:

o    VCPx - Preferred

o    VCAP or VCDX – Desired

o    Active Directory / ADMT experience desired

o    Citrix experience desired
