Position: VoIP Network Engineer (2nd / 3rd Line)
Location: West End (W1 - Walking distance from Piccadilly Circus, Oxford Circus, Leicester Square and Tottenham Court Road underground stations)
Salary: £30,000 to £36,000 depending on experience, with healthcare

Our client is a leading VOIP provider. Established to provide advanced IP telephony (VoIP) services for UK businesses. Bringing the reliability of the Internet to the telephone, the company is an advocate of SIP (Session Initiation Protocol). It uses its own SIP technology offering developed completely in-house, to provide low cost, ISDN replacement lines that provide the best possible call quality, inexpensively with the flexibility that comes from using the Internet. There is now a requirement for a talented VoIP Network Engineer to join their dynamic team.
The successful candidate for this role will be a self-starter with experience in solution design and technical support within a telecoms environment. The application is SIP Trunking and this role involves configuring, maintaining and supporting Cisco equipment to enable communication between customer PBX equipment and our SIP platform, which is spread across several London datacentres. The candidate will need to have experience with VoIP technologies and have the ability to troubleshoot complex IP networks for VoIP related problems. Unix/Linux skills will give the candidate an advantage.
This is a customer facing support and integration role based out of their Soho office (W1 postcode, within walking distance of Piccadilly Circus). The team is comprised of young, friendly and hard-working staff who are held in high regard by management.
Essential Skills / Experience:
- TCP/UDP/IP networking
- Cisco (router configuration)
- Telephone and email support
- Network tracing (Wireshark)
- Fluent English
- SIP or other VoIP protocol experience
Preferred Skills / Experience:
- CCNP Qualified
- PBX configuration
- Linux, Asterisk
- Issue tracking / ticket systems
