Voluntary Corporate Actions Analyst recruitment

The Voluntary Corporate Actions area as a whole supports the Cash Equity, Financing, Clearing and Derivative business as well as Prime Broker clients and clients of Merrill Lynch Pierce Fenner and Smith in the U.S. The area processes voluntary corporate actions arising for these businesses for all markets for the UK, European and emerging market regions.

Key Responsibilities

• Collate and interpret information on corporate action events from agent banks and various feeds
• Understand and prepare cross system reconciliation on large, complex positions
• Notify clients of all events including election restrictions / deadlines and diarise with accuracy
• Collate elections received from clients
• Instruct Agents / Counterparts with clients elections
• Arrange funding for subscription events
• System input to transform positions / trades and to load entitlements
• Monitor incoming queries to ensure they are answered accurately and on a timely basis
• Monitor reconciliations and escalate where necessary
• Management of exception queues

Skills / Experience

Essential:
• Experience in Voluntary Corporate Actions in the UK European Equity Markets
• Some previous experience of working in a Broker / Dealer environment
• Ability to prioritise heavy work loads and work efficiently under pressure
• Excellent PC skills excel, word, outlook,
• Ability to quickly learn new processing systems
• Have a team player perspective
