VP – Global Credit (Global Trading Client Management Team) recruitment

Key Responsibilities:

• Thinking strategically in order to assist in the identification of opportunities for new products /clients that support business unit objectives and specific counterparty strategies

• Partner with business units to develop transaction solutions (including structure, amount and term) that provide recommendations supporting business requirements whilst maintaining an appropriate balance between risk and return

• Help manage expectations of relationship managers, salespersons, traders and other interested parties, on the credit appetite of RBC on potential and current relationships

• For new transactions and initiatives on assigned counterparties, work with Relationship Managers in the preparation of transaction requests and strategies that document business requirements. In addition, assist in arranging for the necessary and appropriate legal documentation including ISDA, GSMA, guarantees

• Other projects or assignments as needed. Projects will require exceptional analytical, research, strategic and problem solving skills

• Provide forward-looking oversight of counterparty and portfolio risks and prepare presentations as required (ad hoc and regularly scheduled)

• Preparation of impact analysis of critical risk events leading to proactive recommendations for limit and term amendments

• Responsible for ensuring AML/KYC and other regulatory requirements are fulfilled for specified trading-only clients

Competencies / Experiences:

• Previous proven relevant credit risk and analysis experience

• Exceptional financial analysis, research and problem solving skills

• Expert knowledge of the C.A.M.E.L approach to credit risk assessment and develop a strong understanding of RBC processes, standing orders and credit policies

• Solid understanding of inter-relationships between global and local economic trends and financial institution risk profiles

• In-depth knowledge of trading product including derivatives and securities finance and working knowledge of non-trading product offerings supporting cash management, operations and trade

• Ability to interpret, explain and communicate opinions and recommendations using strong verbal and written presentations

• Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills with ability to diplomatically manage and attempt to reconcile conflicting demands and viewpoints

• Ability to establish priorities and manage tasks with accompanying attention to detail

• Proactive, self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills

• Advanced data and computer management skills including proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint
