VP – Global Markets – Financial Advisory recruitment
Purpose Role:
• The Global Markets Transaction Group (GMTG) is the new business evaluation arm of GM CFO Team.
• A key objective of the group is to ensure that new business is appraised on a consistent and timely basis across GM Group, with particular focus on the analysis of accounting, regulatory and valuation implications of new trades and capital / balance sheet efficiency.
• Primary area of focus is the review of material and complex structured transactions.
• GMTG works closely with various other Finance Stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review of proposed new transactions, working closely with Finance Groups and the front office to complete and document due diligence.
• Representing GMTG in both regional and global dialogue in respect of transactions under review.
• The primary contact point into GMTG for relevant product Directors
• Stakeholder management - building and maintaining effective stakeholder relations is a critical aspect of the role
Requirements:
• Degree educated
• Accounting qualification with min 7+ yrs post qualification experience (additional qualification would also be a benefit, e.g. CFA)
• Role requires candidate to have an excellent technical base with robust financial product knowledge
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with senior Finance and business line stakeholders
• Previous exposure to structured transaction / product analysis whether in the valuation, regulatory or accounting space
