VP – Project Manager (New Business) – Contract recruitment
The New Business team executes the deployment, set up and/or building of Finance systems and processes (close the books, product control, local and group regulatory reporting, local statutory accounting and group financial reporting and disclosures) to accommodate new business initiatives such as new entity set up and new product execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring a governance framework is in place and operating for risk, issue and dependency management
- Partnering with FinCon, and Product Control functions to define, plan and execute new business projects
- Implementation of processes to monitor, track and report project progress to stakeholders
- Communication to key stakeholders on New Business projects status and issue resolution
- Complete post implementation reviews to determine Day 2 resolution of sub-optimal processes in solutioning CFO requirements (Deliverables include management of a sub-optimal process register and resolution plan)
Requirements:
- 7+ years experience in a Financial Accounting or Product Control Line role in the Financial Services industry and/or a Finance Change role in the Financial Services industry
- Investment Banking product knowledge (GFFX, Global Credit Trading, Commodities, Rates) and the CFO processes typically required to support such processes
- Accountancy qualification and an understanding of US GAAP and IFRS requirements for the accounting of derivatives and financial instruments
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- Demonstrated capability of managing and executing change in a Financial Services organisation
- Demonstrated foundation of Business Analysis as it relates to CFO processes through Project business analyst roles; and/or
