- Heavily involvement in the management and oversight to a team.
- Performance management, objective setting and career planning for the staff. Manage team resources, hiring and development.
- Responsible for escalation and reporting of key issues that arise
- Regular communication with the Front Office, Middle Office, Core Operations groups and other support partners.
- Agree priorities, provide support and minimise operational risk through improved control standards.
- Scrutinise processes to identify inefficiencies within the work flow and build book of work with clear action plan and targets.
- Ensure process control framework is in place and implement robust controls to close any gaps.
- Drive forward change initiatives and projects to meet with targets set. Define and implement tactical solutions, hands-on improvements through the use of tools available whilst awaiting tech development.
- Develop talent to meet business goals, transfer knowledge and expertise to team.
- Establish core book of work and tech roadmap, provide management updates on progress
You will have proven experience managing a Trade Support team or Operations team within an Investment Bank. Strong Equities product knowledge with a hands on management style is essential.
You will be control focussed, understand risks and impact of errors and is able to initiate solutions to remediate problems. Seasoned change management skills, ability to take charge and drive forward change initiatives. You will be able to demonstrate strong communication and collaboration competencies.
