Support the development of the firm's response to Recovery and Resolution Planning and related structural reforms and initiatives:
- Become a subject matter expert on various liquidity related aspects of Recovery and Resolution Planning and related initiatives
- Assist in the development of firm strategy in response to these initiatives
- Identify potential impediments to the resolvability of the Group from a funding and liquidity perspective and develop mitigating strategies
- Represent the team in interactions with key stakeholders and in presenting analysis to senior Treasury Management
- Take a lead role in delivery of nominated projects within the wider Recovery and Resolution Planning deliverable
- Assist in the development of firm strategy in response to related reform initiatives such as the Vickers Report in the UK, Liikanen in the EU, impact of ICB requirements on ring-fencing, etc
- Support the Liquidity Management team with other projects and ad hoc requests as required
This position will suit people coming from a variety of backgrounds (eg capital, liquidity, collateral, funding), although it is very likely the successful applicant will come from a securities/IB background, and will have demonstrable academic and professional abilities in solving technical issues, with the interpersonal and big firm (or consulting/regulator) experience to effectively communicate at all levels across the firm. This small team is at the forefront of this work, and is highly visible internally and externally as a result.
