VP Accounting Policy – FSA – Global Bank recruitment
Our client is one of the leading global investment banks who are currently seeking a high calibre qualified accountant who has the ability and credibility to drive through change. The position will involve working closely with all areas of front, middle and back office functions.
This role is responsible for providing correct guidance and interpretation of requirements given by regulators and supervisors, you will also be responsible for understanding for keeping up to date on general regulatory rules, financial accounting, complex products and structures
Main responsibilities include:
• Keep up to date with the complex and ever changing regulatory environment
• Review FSA papers and determine group policy for regulatory reporting
• Liaise with industry bodies and peer banks on issues of common interest
• Review transactions under process for regulatory clearance
• Understanding and interpreting Basel 2 reporting changes
• Provide support and advice to Government and Investor Relation
