VP and Head of Middle Office (Treasury & Markets) (Ref.no: VP&HMO-T&M/DK210612) recruitment
Reporting to the Deputy Head of Operations this hire will be responsible for setting up and growing the Middle office function further. As the lead in this role and main face off to the business, you will be responsible for the operational risk quality and escalations where necessary and establishing and maintaining effective procedures as required by HKMA and Bank’s internal guidelines. You will be supervising the team in daily operations and take responsible for the daily trade verification processes between the Front office systems and operation systems. The role also requires you to be responsible for the end of day closing rates process, ensuring accuracy and timelines and production of PL and position reports. You will be required to be involved in ad hoc systems and change related projects where ever necessary.
To be eligible for this position you must be a University graduate with at least 10+years of working experience ideally in a senior Middle Office role supporting global markets business. Strong knowledge of treasury and global markets products and good understanding of middle office, Operational risk, front office and settlements functions is essential. You must have excellent communication skills and ability to confidently deal with front office and operations. Strong command over English and Cantonese or Mandarin required.
