VP BA IFRS Change recruitment

Our client, a leading investment bank, currently seeks a VP BA IFRS Change, to be based in London

The VP BA IFRS Change will be responsible for:
-Review existing trade write ups and source documentation for structured trades / SPVs.
-Reach out to necessary stakeholder groups to gather information required to confirm consolidation decision.
-Liaise with Accounting Policy and Advisory Group on entities, flagging issues and working on resolution of consolidation decision.
-Advise the business on remediation options.
-Identify population of entities for which disclosures required.
-Assist with sourcing the data for the disclosure requirements for each group/bucket of entities.
-Assist with the implementation of new fair value disclosures.
-Work with the CTB team to change the existing processes for current disclosures to ensure new deadlines can be achieved.

As such, the successful VP BA IFRS Change will have the following skills and experience:
-Qualified Accountant.
-High level of accounting experience particularly in consolidation, preferably IFRS.
-High level of investment banking experience particularly performing the accounting analysis on structured trades and funds.
-Experience of reading trade write ups and trade source documentation.
-Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
-Investment banking, Finance: accounting/ regulatory projects.
-Banking Accounting Policy experience desirable.
