VP – Basel, FSA and MIS Regulatory Reporting recruitment
Our client, a top tier global investment bank, are on the lookout for the top VPs in the market from Risk, Regulatory Reporting and Basel backgrounds. This is an exciting opportunity to step in (at mid-snr VP level) taking on a team of 6 and lead a high profile, newly migrated team.
This is a key role in the department and they are looking for candidates with very similar profiles who are looking for their next challenge. It is a team lead for legal entity focused regulatory control team with responsibility for submission of regulatory returns and monitoring of capital adequacy ratios.
Person Specifications:
- 8yrs + post qualification/masters experience.
- In-depth Regulatory Reporting, Risk and Basel exposure.
- FSA exposure preferred, if not local regulatory reporting experience is very good - BOE, APRA, MAS etc.
- Strong management ability.
- Ability to change and improve processes.
Day-to-day:
- Management of a team of 6 staff.
- Capital Adequacy reporting and monitoring for a UK FSA regulated entity.
- Monitoring of regulatory ratios and ensuring daily compliance with internal and regulatory limits.
- Preparation review of Basel II regulatory calculations for several Asian trading entities.
- Preparation of MIS reports such as legal entity profitability and capital forecasts; performing of analytical reviews, investigate and resolve unusual and/or significant fluctuations.
- The role will involve:
oReview of team deliverables
oTraining and development of staff
oProviding input on new product proposals and liaison with Regulatory Policy team with regards to regulatory treatment
oLiaison with the trading businesses Treasury with respect to management of RWA and usage of capital
oAd hoc queries and investigations
oInvolvement in various projects to build out infrastructure to support regulatory change (e.g. Basel III)
oUndertake project(s) to enhance strategic reporting infrastructure or develop tactical solutions where required
oEnhancement or development of control framework
