VP: Basic Industries Team recruitment

Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of credits in the basic industries sector
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date ratings; applying relevant rating methodologies and analytical framework.
- Ensure global consistency in ratings standards and full adherence to Moody's credit policies and procedures
- Produce high quality research - help establish team targets, identify relevant research topics and priorities; provide editorial guidance and assistance to analysts
- Conduct investor/intermediary briefings, one-on-one investor meetings, and interviews with the press
- Serve as a rating chair for credits covered by other analysts in the corporate finance group
- Develop strong working relationships with various rating groups within Moody's, fostering collaboration and coordination across teams
- Assist in the development of team's strategic initiatives and oversee relationships with issuers, intermediaries and investors
- Inform senior management of significant credit developments within the team's portfolios
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide professional development guidance

Qualifications
- BA/BS required; MBA or CFA strongly preferred
- 15+ years experience in corporate credit analysis, with a strong understanding of the financial markets
- Background in basic industries such as metals mining, steel and paper forest products.
- Proven managerial capabilities with outstanding writing, communications and presentation skills
- Excellent analytical and quantitative capabilities, including a solid grasp of corporate accounting practices
- Candidate should be highly organized and detail-oriented, with a demonstrated ability to coordinate complex processes and identify and resolve issues
