The selected candidate will lead a team of three in Beijing, and work closely with colleagues located in other Asia Pacific offices. The Commercial department is responsible for developing commercial relationships with rating clients 16 countries in North and South Asia (ex-Japan), covering financial institutions, corporates, sovereigns and sub-sovereigns; as well as all classes of structured finance transactions.

Based in Beijing, the successful candidate will be responsible for strategically marketing Moody's credit ratings with techniques developed in response to individual customer value propositions. A key goal of this strategy involves growing Moody's international ratings coverage in Northern China with a primary focus on ratings for corporates and financial institutions.

The candidate will develop and implement a regional calling plan on prospective clients as well as marketing activities with financial intermediaries. He/she will keep abreast of marketing dynamics for ratings and communicate these to senior management.

Responsibilities will also include working with Moody's affiliates in Asia Pacific to expand their and Moody's overall business objectives as well as representing Moody's at external conferences. The successful candidate's performance will be benchmarked according to increases in Moody's market share, absolute number of new rating mandates, meeting calling targets, and overall revenue generation.

Travel across Northern China is required.
