VP, Business Manager (Finance) – FX&MM recruitment

Sitting within the Global Markets CFO team, this role presents a unique opportunity for a Finance professional to work within a Business environment, interacting, advising and influencing Senior GM Business stakeholders on a daily basis.

An ideal candidate will be someone who possesses experience both within Finance and Front Office. An exposure to Product Control would be highly regarded (this is not a product control role; however, the GM CFO team do interact with Product Control on a daily basis).

• The Finance Business Manager is responsible for partnering with the FX Options Money Markets business in Asia-Pacific by providing meaningful analysis to facilitate decision making and strategy, financial and management reporting, monitoring business performance and managing costs.

• The Finance Manager will also act as the coordinator with other key Finance functions of Analytics, Valuations, COO, Middle Office and Operations, and is responsible for the definition and ownership of the control environment and Financial reporting requirements

• Engage with the FX Options Money Markets Business groups for target setting, strategic planning, forecasting and review exercises

• Drive overall cost management discussions/strategies with the business and outline key cost variances /trends and outliers

• Drive value added analysis for assessing alternatives related to business opportunities and strategies based on competitor and opportunity analysis

• Provide input to the Change Management team in relation to implementation of tactical and strategic initiatives as they affect Finance

Job Requirements

Suitable candidates MUST:

Be a qualified Accountant (CA/CPA/CIMA/ACCA)

Have a foundation (3 years+) within Product Control (Note, this is NOT a product control role)

Additional to Product Control suitable candidates will possess experience within 2 of the following four areas:

• Market Risk,

• Planning

• COO/Business Management or other Front Office function within Financial Services (Global Markets, Private Equity, Asset Management etc)

• (Strategic) Change/Project Management)
