VP Control Room Officer-London-Investment Banking

The client is a Top Tier Investment Bank with a great reputation. This role sits in the control room. There are excellent opportunities for progression for the right candidate to move their career onwards and upwards as there will be opportunities to work in other areas of compliance in the future.
This role will include the following responsibilities:
- Updating and maintaining the insider, watch and restricted lists
- Managing team of 2-3
- Coordinate and approve Chinese Wall crossings
- Liaise with surveillance team and assist with review and resolution of the watch / restricted list alerts
- Implement necessary Sales, Trading and Research restrictions in line with Firm policy
- Clearing debt and equity research against the Watch/Restricted Lists in accordance with policy
- Preparation of policies and procedures in department
- Liaising with Control Room staff globally as required
- Lead Control Room projects as required
The ideal candidate will be coming from a Control Room background, preferably within investment banking but this is flexible. Alternatively a more generalist background with considerable Control Room exposure is acceptable as long as you have an in depth undedrstanding of the control room. A broad understanding of the UK regulatory market is a must. Personality wise you will be confident, a team player with good communication skills who really enjoys the control room environment.
