Project managers from this team drive initiatives from initiation through to deployment in a consistent and structured manner leveraging project management and system development methodologies and tools. The Investment Bank utilises Project Services in project managing and delivering the following types of projects:
- Global initiatives that transcend regions, offices, and time zones
- Large scale initiatives to reduce risks and improve controls
- Cross-division/cross-department/functional initiatives that deliver a new business or infrastructure capability or enhance an existing capability
- Regulatory or externally mandated initiatives with fixed delivery dates
- Independent project health checks and post-implementation reviews
Project Services is an independent group that manages critical projects for sponsors across the organization, including the Front Office and senior Finance and Operations management. Typically the project manager will be assigned full time to a project, sometimes working alone, and sometimes with support depending upon the size of the project.
