VP Credit – Financial Institutions recruitment
Our client is one of the world’s most stable, highly versatile and dynamic Investment Banks in the world. They have a strong global presence and have a long strategic approach to the Asia markets. They have been within Hong Kong for decades and are continuing to invest in their people and their infrastructure. Currently their Hong Kong office is seeking a dynamic and experienced VP Credit Risk to join their FRM team. This is an exceptional opportunity as the business is seeking for a successor in the next few years.
You will play a pivotal part of a highly experienced and dynamic team as well as leading and mentoring the Credit team across Asia.
In this position you will be responsible for performing all necessary credit due diligence and analysis on FI Counterparties including banks, non-bank FI’s, hedge funds, insurance organizations. Private equity firms, mutual funds etc.; work closely with different business units in identifying and developing alternative structures and credit risk mitigation solutions; recommend approval limits; review and approve credit limits; conduct industry and sovereign research; build and maintaining strong relationships with all stakeholders.
To assume this position you will possess a minimum of 8 years Credit Risk experience, with a broad exposure to Financial Institutions portfolio. Prior exposure to debt and fixed income markets or products is essential. Fluency in English and Chinese is preferred. This position will require an element of travel and the successful applicant will need to be able to work independently and within a team environment. Strong interpersonal skills will be essential to assume this role
