VP, Credit Analyst – Credit Portfolio Management
Summary:
- Assist the Team Leader and portfolio manager in formulating the team's middle and long-term hedge plan and trading strategies.
- Function as a Senior Analyst and strategist to be responsible for monitoring macro economy, sectors and individual corporate. Provide opinion to purchase or unwind CDS position.
Description:
- Assist the Team Leader and portfolio manager in formulating the team's middle and long-term hedge plan and trading strategies.
- Will assign a responsibility to manage and monitor individual corporate credit of our portfolio.
- Conduct credit analysis of US, European and Latin American corporates, formulate a hedge plan and will then create a credit report to implement the plan by co-working with portfolio manager. Perform as a senior analyst to monitor all sectors and individual corporate credits with two analysts and provide an opinion to team leader and portfolio manager for hedging or unwinding CDS in timely manner.
- Respond to inquiries from Head Office by creating reports, and recap with an opinion.
- Conduct research into regulations, laws, market rules, systems and any other issues related to credit derivatives.
- Develop and upgrade the bank’s credit portfolio management (hedge) techniques. The candidate is expected to be very experienced in this field.
- Develop and upgrade system infrastructure. The candidate is expected to be experienced in trading flow infrastructure.
- Support team leader in audits, on/offsite monitoring and investigations by internal and external auditors.
- Conduct other assignments as required by the Team Leader.
Requirements:
- The candidate should have an outstanding knowledge and experience of markets and credit analysis. Experience of credit analysis for European corporate is highly preferred.
- Experience of credit derivatives or fixed income business.
- The candidate is expected to be a highly motivated, proactive, creative, challenging and flexible person.
- The candidate should have a high sense of responsibility.
- The candidate will be required to complete at least CFA level I. CFA Charterholder is highly preferred.
- The candidate will be required to trade single name CDS and CDX. It is not necessary to have prior trading experience. However, basic credit market knowledge is required.
- Excellent communication and writing skills required.
- Prior experience managing junior level staff is desirable.
