VP – Credit Derivatives Financial Controller recruitment
Credit is the bank’s fastest growing product line with huge revenue and staff growth expected. The bank is one of the largest players in the Credit Derivatives market with new product lines continually being developed and marketed by the front office.
This VP-level Financial Controller will be responsible for helping to develop the credit business and will work very closely with the desk.
The successful individual will be responsible for:
• Managing a team – developing, training and appraising
• Balance sheet substantiation – ensure all BS items are understood and explained. Any breaks between the general ledger and Front Office positions must be investigated and resolved
• Distribution of the substantiations at an appropriate level for Senior Management review
• FX Exposure Reporting
• Production of FANFA (financial and non-financial data) from the group
• Perform and own the month-end close for specific businesses
• Validation of Front to Back reconciliations for all products (including cash controls)
- Liaison with external stakeholders to the Financial controlling function
Candidate requirements:
• ACA/CIMA/ACCA or overseas equivalent
• 5-10 years post qualified experience
• Background in Fixed Income Products
• Strong experience of leading a team
