VP-Credit Risk, Asia Pacific Sanctioning (Hong Kong based)
Main responsibilities:-
- Maintain the integrity of the portfolio through quality analysis of prospective exposure and proactive monitoring;
- Conduct credit due diligence and analysis, prepare/review country, industry and counterparty credit reviews;
- Present and recommend larger/complex credit proposal to the bank's Credit Committees;
- Maintain integrity of credit risk function whilst continuing to fully support Front Office;
- Front credit-related discussions, both internally and externally (with customers, rating agencies etc);
- Where sector difficulties or client specific difficulties are identified, provide recommendation for appropriate action to be taken to mitigate credit risks;
- Foster an ethos of focused and proactive management of credit exposures;
- Provide administrative support to ensure data integrity in terms of credit limits, internal counterparty ratings and other credit parameters.
Main requirements:-
- Minimum relevant 5 years experience in the banking industry with a minimum 3 years credit risk management experience.
- Good communications skills, fluent English and Mandarin.
- Strong local or Greater China region banking industry knowledge, articulate, creative thinking skills, confident and experienced in business interactions with Relationship Managers and senior stakeholders
- Derivatives and lending product knowledge.
- Experienced in preparing concise and accurate credit analysis with recommendations and supporting rationale.
- Good knowledge of trading documentation (ISDA / CSA / GMRA, etc) and loan agreements.
- Sound research skills on industry sector / client-specific pertaining to individual transactions where circumstances warrant (e.g. new industry, environmental considerations, regulatory issues
