VP Credit Risk Management / Global Planning Job in New York City 10038, New York US
Our client, a major investment bank, is seeking a VP-Credit Risk Planning professional to join its office in New York City. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of trading/risk management experience, understands banking regulations especially the Dodd Frank Act, and possesses a broad knowledge across various market products (in particular FX and Derivatives). Excellent credit and risk management experience
Major Responsibilities:
- Support the credit approval process for FX and Derivatives by identifying, resolving, or escalating problems that arise;
- Work closely with MDs to gain understanding of customer needs, projected pipeline and impact on the bank’s strategies;
- Serve as liaison in planning tasks between marketing/trading and credit divisions
- Correspond with local regulation such as Dodd-Frank act;
- Drive successful implementation of CCP clearing, swap dealer registration, Volcker rules, and derivatives push-out
Job Requirements:
- BS/BA in Finance, Accounting, International Economics, or Quantitative Analysis
- Minimum of 5 years working in Capital Markets
- Broad knowledge in market business (FX and Derivatives)
- Trading and risk management experience
- Understanding of regulatory issues, knowledge of Basel III Capital and Liquidity requirements
- Experience dealing with regulators
- Excellent communications skills
