VP-Credit Risk/Underwriting

* Responsible for conducting all due diligence on new credit requests including credit analysis, financial statement analysis, client calls and visits.

* Develop structuring recommendations within context credit policy and philosophy. Produce high quality credit memoranda clearly outlining transaction, purpose, strengths, risks and mitigates.

* Work with internal and external legal counsel to prepare loan agreements. Negotiate and execute loan agreements.

* Manage all loan requests within stated turn times unless justified as an exception. Manage expectations through active communication with Origination Team, FA and/or client.

* Provide guidance on procedures and make recommendations where appropriate.

* Provide for accurate, complete and timely hand-off of transactions to Loan Operations for booking and funding and then the Portfolio Management team for ongoing management.

* Ensure accurate and timely update of pipeline reports.

 

 

* Bachelor’s Degree required.

* Minimum 10 years of lending and credit analysis in private bank or commercial bank.

* Formal commercial credit training required.

* Detail oriented with exceptional analytical skills.

* Significant accounting and finance knowledge.

* Possess excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation skills.

* Maintain poise and presence coupled with exceptional interpersonal skills to manage relationships with sophisticated high net worth clients and their advisors.

* Possess strong customer service, problem identification and solution techniques.

* Ability to meet deadlines and manage FA and client expectations.
