Prudential Retirement Technology is actively pursuing a qualified Senior Digital Architect to support a variety of businesses within our Retirement division. This role will be critical in establishing our long term direction in the digital space including transactional as well as e-marketing activities. The long term strategy will require near- term deliverables that provide business outcomes on an ongoing basis. The Senior Digital Solutions Architect is responsible for designing various components and solutions in support of our digital strategy to create integrated and optimal online experiences. This role will bring together advanced technology platforms including analytics, web development, media management, content information, self-service, mobile, intuitive search, social media and digital managed services capabilities in an integrated model in alignment with our company's digital strategy and core business systems. The individual will work closely with an e-business team and will be responsible for solution design, build, integration, test and deployment of end-to-end solutions which meet the business needs. The Senior Digital Solutions Architect will be responsible for developing the solutions as well as ensuring the solution delivers business outcomes when implemented. This position works closely with various internal business groups, Chief Enterprise Architect, Data Architects, Solution Engineers and Corporate Technology teams to ensure project solutions are in alignment with overall business and technology strategy. This role is also responsible for the relationship management of critical business relationships as well as delivering business outcomes. The Senior Digital Solution Architect will jointly assumes responsibility and refinement of marketing requirements and marketing return-on-investment in partnership with our e-marketing team. Responsibilities Creating and maintaining a strong working relationship with the e-business team Provide technical leadership to the architecting of business solutions, integrating legacy and new technologies Preparing and presenting potential technical solutions and advising the business on the technical and business value of the proposition. Working with consultants, solution architects, solution engineers, business analysts and subject matter experts to understand the complex technological systems in order to produce integrated end-to-end solution options Communicating the solution architecture approaches to project and leadership teams and other stakeholders Reviewing, analyzing and evaluating business requirements in order to design the most appropriate end-to-end technology solutions Developing and recommending novel and innovative -- yet proven and demonstrated -- approaches to solving business and technical problems. Authoring and delivering the solution design document which documents all of the technical components necessary to meet the business project objectives Keeping up-to-date on new technology, standards, protocols and tools in areas relevant to the rapidly changing digital environment Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline Experience in the field of software development and directly architecting digital marketing solutions for large clients Strong familiarity with Web 2.0 technologies such as social media, personalization and behavioral targeting Integration specialist with a variety of technologies including social and e-mail marketing Detailed understanding of web analytics Development experience with .NET, J2EE/Java, SQL, XML, HTML/DHTML and Mobile Direct knowledge of WC3 standards Participates in industry forums and groups involved in establishing industry standards within the digital space Expert in web services development and standards Data modeling, object modeling, design patterns, relational databases, and web technologies experience preferred Experience with integrating enterprise business systems with new and advanced digital solutions (both internally and externally hosted/developed) Ability so clearly translate and define business requirements Experience working in digital development environments and applying digital development best practices. Experience with user experience design, information architecture and agile web development processes Platform and Architecture technical skills and knowledge of emerging digital technologies/platforms Specific digital media experience in product development and experience in interactive marketing Ability to exercise independent judgment and creative problem-solving techniques in a highly complex environment using leading-edge technology and/or integrating diverse user systems Demonstrated ability to influence people at a variety of levels internally and externally Ability to predict, recognize and manage cultural and technological changes within the organization and to prescribe corresponding transitions Excellent oral and written communications; an ability to present and discuss technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, and gains understanding Excellent interpersonal, negotiating, and marketing skills to work with users, senior management, and external personnel on significant matters, often requiring coordinated activity across organizational lines Experience with developing large scale global digital strategies for Fortune 500 clients Strong digital (e.g., web, mobile, social) knowledge. Comfortable discussing digital trends, available options at all levels Significant experience with defining high level enterprise digital architectures Experience in Financial Services industry a benefit Must be a self starter, entrepreneurial, resourceful and comfortable working in a small team environment where self sufficiency is essential
