Our client is a top-tier investment banking group with an established and growing wholesale banking business in Asia. As part of continued growth, a senior position in the regional Fixed Income Compliance Advisory team has arisen for an experienced Compliance professional to be based in Hong Kong.
Reporting to the Regional Head of Fixed Income Compliance Advisory, you will be a key member of the specialised team providing compliance advice to the Fixed Income business in Asia. Your responsibilities will include policy reviews, policy development, transactions reviews, new product reviews. You will provide regulatory advice related to the business and potential changes in Asia which would impact the business and will assist on inspections and investigations. You will help the business to understand the various regulations in different locations for Sales Trading activities and you will develop and conduct training to relevant team members when required. Additionally, you will perform continuous assessment on compliance and regulatory risks and lead the relevant process changes where necessary.
To qualify, individuals must possess:
- Minimum 8 - 10 years relevant experience in Compliance
- Solid Fixed Income, Credit and Rates products knowledge
- Familiarity to the Asia regulatory environment
- Experience gained from Banking and / or regulatory bodies
- Excellent communication skills with English
