VP & Director Gifts & Entertainment Compliance
Key responsibilites will include:
• Act as liaison and coordinator between key constituents in Operations, Global Marketing, Technology, Finance, and Compliance with respect to building a new global gift and entertainment system.
• Play a lead role with Compliance Technology staff to design a new, global system and process to handle pre-approval, surveillance, and exception handling for client gifts entertainment requests. A key aspect of this initiative will be development of reporting to identify trends in gift and entertainment activity. Lead the testing and implementation efforts of the new system on a global basis.
• Develop and maintain written operating procedures for handling client gifts entertainment requests in the Central Compliance group - including the design of a process to record and aggregate gift and entertainment requests, identify breaches of the Global Gifts Entertainment Policy, and escalate policy breaches to the appropriate Business Management personnel.
• Provide day to day compliance advisory to Firm's businesses regarding gifts and entertainment pre-approval and escalation processes.
• Review, examine, and approve/deny client gifts entertainment and related requests that come to Central Compliance.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and practices and regulatory guidelines, developments, and changes regarding gifts entertainment and anti-bribery and corruption rules.
• Assist training and communication efforts for employees regarding client gifts entertainment, regulations, restrictions, policies and procedures.
Person Requirements

- Four-year college degree required
- Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a compliance role at a global investment bank or commensurate experience working for a consulting firm or regulatory agency focusing on gifts and entertainment regulations, anti-bribery and corruption, anti-money laundering or related topics
- 2+ years of project and process management experience
- Working knowledge of the Foreign Corrupt Practices ACT (FCPA) and UK Bribery Act
Preferred:
- Ability to work effectively with Technology resources to design/implement compliance systems.
- Skilled at balancing risk management and commercial objectives.
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
Strong written/verbal communication skills.
