VP / Director HK Equity Derivatives Trader – Warrants Market Maker
JOB DESCRIPTION
A market leading Investment bank is looking to add a VP / Director level trader to their equities trading team based in Hong Kong. The role will be to trade HK warrants / callable bull bear contacts on a market making basis. They are looking for someone with at least 4 years direct experience market making HK warrants to take a senior role on the desk. The successful candidate will also have exposure on the automated side being involved the electronic market making of warrants on the Hong Kong exchange.
The successful candidate will likely have a strong technical background and have a Masters from a top university. The role will be focused in on the Hong Kong market therefore an in-depth understanding of this market is essential. The groups Hong Kong platform is certainly an exciting, successful business for traders boasting cutting edge systems, innovative quants and a market leading sales force. The role will sit within their equity derivatives flow team and will essentially be working alongside the senior manages on the equities side driving the continued success of their Warrants market making business.
In regards to time frame they are looking to fill the role as soon as possible but have the flexibility to wait for the right candidate due to the seniority of the role and the importance that desk has within the wider equity business.
REQUIRED:
Minimum 4 years direct Warrant / CBBC Market Making experience.
An in-depth knowledge of the HK equity market.
Strong academics with a Masters from a top university.
Competitive by nature and eager to win.
Quick and decisive thinker and able to deal well with pressure.

In summary this is a trading role in Hong Kong to market make HK Warrants / Callable Bull Bear Contracts. The successful candidate will have at least 4 years relevant experience from another leading institution. They will have exposure to market making warrants on an electronic basis on the Hong Kong exchange. It is a senior VP / Director position therefore relevant experience at a senior level is a necessity.
