VP/ Director level non-softs commodities Trader – Emerging Markets Bank
The client:
Our client is an emerging markets bank with a very well capitalised balance sheet, and defined growth plan for the next 2-3 years leveraging their market share, for growth, and expansion into new markets.
The Banks commodities business is currently focused on soft commodities, and this mandate is to lead their growth in the non -softs space, focused on flow vanilla trades, across multiple non-soft commodity products (metals, energy, oil etc)
The role:
Price, and trade multiple non-soft commodity products for the banks client business across multiple geographies.
Focus mainly on trading client flow, and opportunistically take proprietary positions.
Manage risk within defined VaR limits
Lead the growth/ expansion of non-soft commodities trading
Requirements:
Strong knowledge of multiple non-soft commodity product’s, (good knowledge for oil and base metals will be highly valued)
Good technical skills and the ability to price multiple products, and trade within defined VaR limits
Ability to generate PnL from client flow, rather than proprietary positions
Team player with good communication skills
