VP / Director, Project Manager (CONTRACT) recruitment

The Project Manager will be responsible for all delivery aspects of the project/s, with responsibility for the ongoing health of the project management mechanisms.   This project is a high profile and being driving from the very top.  The details of the project remain confidential to the outside world.  This role will suit project managers who are able to influence even the most senior of stakeholders and able to deliver projects, working to a full project life cycle.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan the project either directly or indirectly through the wider team

- Reports progress of the project at regular intervals to the Steering Committee including Programme Director and key stakeholders

- Applies quality controls to ensure the overall integrity of the project and compliance coherence to PMO Quality guidelines and standards

- Ensures delivery of new products or services from the projects is to the appropriate levels of quality, on time and within budget, in accordance with the project plan

Requirements

-           Proven track record manage large scale complex change

-          Ideally have experience in Finance change, within investment banking

-          Background in Financial Services Industry

-          Excellent senior stakeholder management skills

-          Effective team leader /or coach, as appropriate, able to work in global virtual teams in a matrix organization

-          Ability to work in fast paced environment

-          Open minded, able to share information, transfer knowledge and expertise to team members

-          Excellent analytical skills, able to demonstrate flexibility regarding problem solving

-          Keeps pace with technical innovation and maintains a broad understanding of the CTB offering

-          Project Management qualifications (e.g. PRINCE 2, PMI) /or relevant practical experience

-          Degree level /or relevant practical experience

Experience Required

Ø  Min. 5-7 yrs in Project environment and Project Management skills preferred

Ø  Good understanding of the front to back process and data flows on Products including product trade lifecycles and business events

Ø  Hands on with strong group facilitation and communication skills.

Ø  PMP or equivalent preferred (eg Prince2 methodology, Six Sigma, etc)

• Analytical thinking and approach to problem solving

• Not afraid to take hands-on approach when needed - sees the problem and drives the solution all the way through

• Able to effectively manage and guide onshore and offshore resources

• Ability to identify and solve potential issues / problems

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Able to engage people with diverse and different cultures and backgrounds

• Works actively to achieve and meet deadlines

• Lateral thinking/problem solving and Delivery focused

• Takes ownership and ensures that there is successful follow-up and closure for all issues with stakeholders

• Continuously looks for opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiencies

• Able to balance multiple objectives at one time

• Pro-active approach
