VP / ED Trade Operations Manager – Singapore based – Japanese Speaker – PACKAGE AND RELOCATION recruitment

The successful candidate will be tasked with translating and advancing strategic goals and ensuring they are effectively integrated with the rest of Global Operations. In particular you will support Front Office teams based in Japan so JAPANESE LANGUAGE skills are essential.

Key Role Responsibilities Include:

•  Representing the Department internally across the different business areas and externally with clients, regulators and industry contacts

• Translating Operations and Firm-wide strategy into objectives for the department and proactively managing department and individual performance against these objectives

• Establishing client requirements and building relationships with outside financial institutions

• Continual review and refining of the structure of the business teams to ensure that they continue to meet the business needs

• Identify and drive process and controls improvement across the Department

• Participation in the hiring process and discussions of hiring needs

This is a challenging position and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to influence and shape the function and future of the team and Department.

Ideal Candidate Requirements:

• Japanese language skills required for work with the Tokyo office

• Demonstrable management skills especially around developing, managing and organising staff

• Understanding of the complex relationships and interdependencies between business-wide support systems and processes

• Ability to prepare and execute strategy for the team over an extended period of time

• Ability to effectively address firm compliance and reputational judgement issues

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
