VP Emerging Markets Exotics Product Control / CFO, Top Tier IB recruitment
The role has been created by increased volumes and growth due to a large focus on its Emerging Markets business (the strategy is for the EM businesses to carry a larger % of the IB’s profits) in which huge resources have been deployed in the Front Office for its business to become a bigger player in the EM space
You are to head up a team of five that is effectively now more of a CFO function than a Product Control function. All production has been offshored so the role of the Product Controllers includes doing the analysis around all of the numbers / data / statements, understand the Reg Capital, analysis of the EM business and analysis of the EM Market (it’s performance, areas to grow in to and focus on, competitor analysis, velocity analysis etc.). Product coverage is across Credit, Rates and FX Exotics..
You are to be the major interface between the team and the business, effectively representing the work produced. Stakeholders in the role are therefore the Head Traders, Business Managers and Heads of Finance (you will face off to 7 MD’s in the role and have access to a team of 30-40 Traders).
With it being an FO facing role, it is important to have the right personality to fit in to such an area, in addition to the Accounting skills and front to back IB knowledge to make the transition in to the team.
We are looking for a current Product Control VP, from a Fixed Income or Equities background, managing a team and who regularly faces off to senior heads of the Front Office.
