Job Title: VP - Emerging Markets Product Control

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a VP level Product Controller to join a top-tier investment bank based in London. Our client is one of the largest financial services providers in the world, and are also engaged in retail banking, credit cards, corporate banking and wealth and investment management.
The role will sit in the Emerging Markets business, which is broadly split into Rates (interest rate and foreign exchange products) and Credit (credit derivatives and financing products) and also split geographically (Latin America, Eastern Europe/Middle East/Africa ('EEMEA') and Asia Pacific).
This involves a close working relationship with the Front Office as well as all primary support partners including Operations, Technology and Risk Management.
Main duties of this specific role will include:
- Relationship management with Rates and Credit Front Office, COO, GFRM, operations and Global head of EM Product Control (in London)
- Daily handover from EEMEA product control teams in Singapore to ensure smooth running of the daily, weekly, monthly and adhoc tasks and provide product control support during London hours
- Continue to build out the client service model in London to ensure effective controls and a suitable level of knowledge is retained.
- Day to day team management - act as a final level of quality review over the team's output both in London and in Singapore
Candidate Requirements:
- Qualified Accountant, ACA an advantage
- Strong academics - minimum 2.1 degree, preferably in a numerical subject.
- At least 5 years' post-qualified experience within Product Control
- MUST have good knowledge of Rates (FX and IR), and Credit Flow (bonds, CDS and loans)
- Confident and ambitious individual with gravitas, who has experience of facing off to very senior business members.
