VP Emerging Markets Product Controller recruitment
An internationally recognised investment bank is looking to recruit a VP Emerging Markets Product Controller to join their Emerging Markets Product Control Team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an established VP with extensive Emerging Markets product control experience to join the Emerging Markets product control team taking on responsibility for the production of a comprehensive daily PL, PL explain and Balance Sheet management. The team ensures that appropriate accounting principles are applied whilst leading various internal projects and reporting management accounting information to the business.
Close working relationship with various stakeholders across the business are key to include Front Office, Operations, Technology and Risk Management.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Relationship management with Rates and Credit Front Office, COO, GFRM, operations and Global head of EM Product Control (in London)
- Daily handover from EEMEA product control teams inSingaporeto ensure smooth running of the daily, weekly, monthly and adhoc tasks and provide product control support duringLondonhours
- Continue to build out the client service model inLondonto ensure effective controls and a suitable level of knowledge is retained.
- Day to day team management - act as a final level of quality review over the team's output both inLondonand inSingapore
- Be a subject matter expert for the businesses that they support
- Working with infrastructure - build and maintain effective working relationships with peers in other infrastructure teams (including operations, IT, risk, valuations)
- Working with finance and ensuring monthly deliverables are met - build and maintain effective working relationships with peers in other asset classes and geographical locations, with a view to contributing to best practice principles.
- Manage macro projects - take lead roles on cross asset class, cross region infrastructure projects
- Drive continuous improvement - set key, local focus areas for improvement (in terms of control adequacy, value add and efficiency), and work with team and peers to achieve upon set goals.
- People management - own development programmes for your directs and the broader team (consisting of eight individuals of mixed experience and background)
This is an excellent opportunity for an established VP with an excellent Emerging Markets Product Control background to develop their career. Good knowledge of the financial services industry and an in-depth understanding of front to back product control processes would be advantageous. The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant, demonstrating an ability to work towards tight deadlines combined with the ability to liaise with Senior Management.
