VP – Finance & Valuations Business Analyst / SME recruitment

This group is responsible for performing an independent monthly review of the portfolio valuation and relevant valuation adjustments, which involves pre-approval of valuation methodologies, testing compliance to such methodologies, comparison ofmarks to external marks/benchmarks, identification and resolution of potential pricing discrepancies and provides a valuation summary assessment to senior management. The team works closely with other groups within the Finance Group, Business Unit traders, Model developers (Strategists), and Risk Management.

The candidate will act as a Business Analyst, working with the global users and the relevant IT contacts to comprehensively define and document the specifications for the functionality that IT will deliver and the test cases that will be used to confirm completion. The candidate will also ensure that the dependencies, prioritization and timing of the individual components/functionality is appropriate and well understood by all parties.

The candidate will also work closely with senior stakeholders to shape and define the strategic solutions in the technology environment to ensure that the global control framework is robust and efficient.
The role will involve working across trading-product asset classes and complexity, with the candidate able to translate detailed trading product level information and requirements into an appropriate IT requirement specification.
Previous business analysis experience, an ability to work effectively across regions and a thorough knowledge of traded products are essential to the role. A good knowledge of IT architecture and working within large scale IT projects will also be invaluable to the successful candidate.
