VP Financial Controller FX recruitment

Our client, a leading banking and financial services company, currently seeks a VP Financial Controller for its FX business, to be based in London

The VP FX Financial Controller will be responsible for:
-Provides direction to the London Business Control team in terms of daily/monthly deliveries and overall control environment
-Responsible for ensuring objectives are meet across the team
-Sets the direction of LD and talent management for the team
-Owns the regular forums with local senior management and clients, in terms of leading the discussions and owning the closure of actions
-Day to day point of contact for audit and regulator queries
-Provides oversight for any New Product Approvals and strategic change initiatives being reviewed by the team
-Leads cross functional initiatives to drive efficiencies and improve the control environment

As such, the successful VP FX Financial Controller will have the following skills and experience:
-At least 5 years of relevant experience in Product/Financial Control or related space
-Business or mathematical based degree with professional accounting qualification
-Excellent influencing, communication and people management skills
-Up to date knowledge of regulatory and financial reporting landscape
-Excellent team worker, able to work in virtual global teams and in a matrix organisation
-Open minded, able to share information, transfer knowledge and expertise to team members
-Flexibility regarding problem solving
-Keeps pace with technical innovation and market driven initiatives and maintains a broad understanding of the market
-Degree level and relevant practical experience
