VP, Financial Reporting Manager recruitment

The Financial Reporting Team in Singapore supports the financial, management and regulatory reporting activities for the Asia Pacific region.  The team acts as the main interface with the offshore teams and is responsible for maintaining a robust control environment for Finance.

The person would be a critical member of the team:

1) Act as second-in-command to the Team Head in planning, overseeing and coordinating month-end close, both onshore and offshore (including validation and control of management accounting and financial accounting reconciliations, MRP balance sheet review, flash reporting, and journal entry approvals etc.)

2) Provide oversight to the management reporting of the Asia Pacific region, with a particular focus on revenues and assets through quality assurance reviews.

3) Provide coverage to the regulatory reporting function, with CRES and MAS submissions to the local and global regulatory reporting teams.  

4) Oversee and review output from offshore teams on a day to day basis and actively work with Sourcing Management in tracking and resolving issues.

5) Lead change projects on process improvements and system changes (Impact assessment and UAT testing) as well as new product launches.  

6) Provide guidance and support to other team members to building up capabilities and operational excellence within the team.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Accounting qualification preferable, CPA/CA
- 6-8 yrs post qualified experience in a Finance Control or Product Control within a financial institution
- Strong working knowledge of SAP is required.
- Prior experience with regulatory reporting/balance sheet control preferred.
- Previous exposure to Private Banking / Private Wealth Management beneficial
- Strong accounting knowledge in financial products and related system flows
- Prior experience in managing staff required
