VP Fixed Income & Equities Product Control, IB, Expanding function recruitment
The individual will initially oversee a team of around 15, however if location strategy targets are met then team size will almost double over the next couple of years in line with the team taking on further trading books. For that reason the candidate should see this as an excellent opportunity to be fast tracked in to a Director level role. In that time you are expected to train a team that covers production, analysis, commentary and month end responsibilities. You are also expected to assist in developing / changing how the team currently operate and liaise with other areas of the business as it is still in its early phase of operation despite rapid growth and improvements need to be made. You are also to be seen as the major point of contact in representing the work produced by the team and will therefore also be a point of escalation when dealing with head Traders, Business Managers and heads of finance.
In order to fulfil such criteria we are looking for a solid VP that is currently in a Product Control role in an Investment Bank. Although you can come from any product area, it is imperative that you are currently managing / supervising a team and have the skill set to move in to a role that would see you grow and expanding area. Strong stakeholder management skills are key to be the right fit. An accountancy qualification and project management skills are seen as an advantage.
