Job Description

This is an integral part of the overall Group Risk framework with its 'three lines of defence' model i.e. the Business, GTS Operational Risk and Group Internal Audit.

This Operating Model will enable GTS to do the following:

• Define our risk appetite

• Identify our material risks

• Dynamically manage our risk to appetite through the development of appropriate controls

• Understand our aggregate risk position for all levels

• Conduct end to end assessments of the adequacy and effectiveness of our controls

• Meet requirements of Group Policies and Regulation

This is a key role to support the Head of GTS in the country effectively managing their risks. It will include Risk Assessment, Identification, Management Mitigation Controls across all aspects of the Business within the specific country.

Requirements

• Ideally operational experience within a business

• An understanding of risk management and control development to mitigate risk

• Good people management and interpersonal skills

• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written at different levels of the organisation

• Clear track record of delivery and the ability to work to deadlines and adapt to changing priorities

• A proven ability to solve problems

• The ability to effectively challenge all areas of the business and deliver solutions which drive risk and control excellence across the GTS business

• Group and Risk Control Frameworks e.g. the Group Policy Framework

• Knowledge of the products and processes within Transaction Banking Services

• An understanding of the Sarbanes Oxley Act

• Good PC skills
