VP, Head of Operational Risk Management recruitment
Job Responsibilities:
- Recommending changes to ensure Operational Risk Management framework (staffing, processes, policies/procedures and systems) is appropriate and effectively supports the management of Operations Risk at the Bank.
- To develop, update and promulgate Operations Risk policies, guidelines and operating procedures and ensuring these policies are in line with regulatory/head office requirements and best practices.
- To monitor and assess the branch’s reputation risk control and reporting in accordance with the requirements set by the local regulators. Work together with Group Risk on the framework of the strategic risk of the Bank.
- To measure, monitor and highlight Operations Risk profile of the Group through various Operations Risk programs. These programs include:
o Operational risk events/losses reporting
o Operations Risk Self Assessments. These include General Control Environment Self-Assessment (GCESA) and Business Process Operational Risk Self Assessment (BP-ORSA)
o Key Risk Indicator Program
o Operations Risk Action Plans (arising from the above programs)
- Product Program - to coordinate and review PP thereby ensuring that risk relating to new products are identified/documented, monitored and managed
- Outsourcing Program – to review all business units’ outsourcing submissions
- To work with Head Office on Group Insurance coverage – to ensure insurance coverage are appropriate and all claims/submissions are managed in accordance with policy
- Group Business Continuity Management Program – to conduct Business Impact Analysis (to determine the BU/SU’s criticality) and participate in BCM tests, drills or exercises.
- To prepare/submit Operations Risk management reports to local management/risk committee(s) and to Head Office as required
- To promote greater Operationas Risk management awareness among business units staff through the conduct of workshops/training sessions
- Ad-hoc tasks as and when assigned by supervisor
Requirements:
- Degree Holder
- About 10 years experience in operational risk management, internal control, audit or quality assurance
- Hands-on experience in planning Business Continuity Plan Drill
- Good knowledge of operational risk assessment methodologies
- Details oriented and methodical
- Strong and effective communication and presentation skills
- Self-starter, strong multi-tasking capabilities and able to work under stress
- Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Access PowerPoint
