JOB SUMMARY:
The Vice President Healthcare / Medical Informatics reports in to the Chief Medical Officer. This individual will lead the corporate healthcare informatics strategy, develop policies and processes for managing healthcare information; manage, train and develop staff across informatics functional areas; ensure compliance with the corporate risk management plan, regulatory requirements and information confidentiality. He/she will be accountable for developing and implementing a performance management strategy, metrics, policies and standard operating procedures.
- Advanced clinical degree or information technology degree required
- MBA or other advanced degree desirable
- Master's degree or PhD in Biostatistics, Informatics, Computer Science, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience
- If applicable, licensed to practice medicine in the US, without restriction
- 10-15 years business/clinical informatics/analytics, IT and operational experience
- 5 years direct clinical experience or working in a clinical setting
- At least 5 years of senior management experience leading a medium to large organization and influencing senior level management and key stakeholders
- Strong combination of clinical and analytical expertise, business acumen and technology saavy
- Experience leading an Informatics or analytical team within a larger organization, preferably with healthcare experience
- Prior experience leading business process transformation and organizational culture change
