We currently have an opening for a highly motivated, results oriented VP HR Business Partner.
The HRBP provides guidance for Business Leaders in resolving complex organizational and talent issues and proactively moving the business forward. Functions as a strategist responsible for analyzing situations, recommending an approach, and brokering services from other parts of the HR organization to deliver solutions as necessary.
Connecting HR service delivery to the organization’s long/short term strategies is a must. As the main interface for the organization’s leadership team, this role is responsible for translating the HR strategy set at the top level of the organization into something applicable at the business level. Broad-based HR expertise, experience with organizational design and organizational effectiveness, handling multi-faceted issues, ability to effectively navigate the business environment and immediately establishing trust and effective working relationships are paramount. This role will deliver work that results in significant business impact while maintaining the highest possible HR customer experience and trust.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts up front organizational needs assessment to determine appropriate interventions and solutions, including which HR Subject Matter Experts (SME) to engage in the work
- Effectively leverages the SMEs in compensation, training and staffing, partnering to deliver the highest level of expertise and competence to the business
- Provides on-going communication and translation of the business context to the HR function
- Ensures effective implementation of HR services to the business and a positive customer experience; partnering with HR SMEs to understand all services requested/delivered, monitoring performance, and course correcting as necessary
- Conducts scenario planning for organizational design based on future business needs
- Leads the change management strategy as it relates to human capital plans and business practices/priorities
- Understands the talent needs of the business and identifies talent issues (holistic and individual) before the business is impacted
- Delivers everyday individual coaching for executives at the top leadership levels of the organization
- Works with other HR BPs as required to drive goal alignment across teams and all levels within the business unit, ensuring alignment in business priorities and measureable objectives
- Participates in the yearly enterprise planning and budgeting process, with responsibility for the human capital component of the plan
- Attends key business meetings to provide input to the strategic and operating plans
- Leads key business meetings as appropriate to drive horizontal human capital planning work
- Translates HR programs, initiatives and policies into business terms, accelerating the change management process
Key Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 - 15 years’ experience in human resources with a hands-on approach and solid progression working in management positions Bachelors’ degree in human resources or other related field required
- Broad technical expertise in organizational design and effectiveness, workforce analytics, project management, change management, retention strategy, executive coaching, employee development, employee engagement/value proposition and organization communication
- Strong human resources experience working in a fast-paced, aggressive business environment
- A strong understanding of how the various HR functions work/fit together
- Strong listening and follow-up skills, including negotiation of appropriate timelines/deliverables
- Detail-oriented with the ability to think and act strategically
- Pragmatic problem solver
- Utilizes a facilitative approach to addressing issues
- Ability to work independently with little direction
- Ability to work with difficult people and manage conflict successfully

- Change management (practical understanding of effective change management, ability to articulate and influence the process with leadership and effectively develop and execute on change management plans)
- Human capital planning (understanding of toolkit and ability to apply it to specific situations)
- Ability to ask effective questions and perform root cause analysis
- Builds credibility, proactively establishes rapport, and maintains communication with executives and stakeholders at multiple leadership levels immediately; strong display of customer service acumen
