As Hobart’s VP of Human Resources, you are an entrepreneurial, “working” manager who is highly engaged and motivated to get the job done.  You possess the bandwidth to manage competing high-priority initiatives, with ease…and a sense of humor.

 

As a leader within the Hobart Group Holdings span of companies, the VP, Human Resources will drive the development and deployment of HR strategies for all Hobart entities.  You have the ability to cultivate and implement all HR practices, policies and procedures by supporting organizational strategic objectives and championing operational excellence.

 

As an integral member of the senior leadership team, you will collaborate with, as well as build, grow and maintain effective working relationships with, staff, senior leadership and the Executive Operating Committee (EOC). You are a strong employee advocate who keeps a focus on and contributes to the organization’s overall goals.  You possess a broad knowledge of, and have a proven track record in, the areas of succession planning, performance management, recruiting, training development, compensation benefits, employee relations/retention and organizational effectiveness.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

-        Provide day-to-day leadership and oversight for the management of Human Resources activities, including, but not limited to: policy development, performance management, succession planning, staff recruitment retention, employee relations, training development and benefits compensation.

-       Conceptualize, develop and implement appropriate strategies to support a continually and rapidly growing agency.

-        Review and recommend potential changes to company benefits as needed.

-        Develop and implement company wide training and development program to include managed markets, leadership development and staff developmental training.

-       Build strong relationships and collaborate with the EOC and senior management on all key HR initiatives.

-        Remain current with legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting industry.

-        Improve HR processes for timely and effective delivery of transactional services.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

-        Bachelor's Degree; Master’s and/or SPHR certification a plus.

-        Minimum (10) ten years experience in HR leadership capacity in a similarly complex environment where responsibilities included strategic partnership with key executives.   

-        Minimum (3) three years with an advertising or communications company.

-        Experience as the top HR executive of a small to mid-sized company a plus.

-        Highly developed internal consulting and influencing skills at the senior management and executive levels.

-        Advanced knowledge of HR disciplines and processes including: employment, compensation, organizational planning, employee relations, training development and organizational change.

-        Extensive hands-on experience in conceptualizing, managing, executing and measuring large scale HR initiatives.

-        Demonstrated knowledge of laws governing HR best practices including Title VII, ADA, FMLA.

-        Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations.

-       Strong communication (written/verbal/presentation), MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills.
