VP, IT Security Manager (Investment Bank) – Singapore
The IT Security Manager is responsible and accountable for developing and leading the regional lT Risk and Security function.
Must have experience in a regional role, team lead capacity. This position calls for a strong, persuasive, strategic leader who understands operational regulatory risk control frameworks, information technology and security and will utilize that knowledge to implement an effective security campaign to ensure the overall risk and security position stays aligned with business needs.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the regional IT Security team and manage the IT Risk function in accordance with the operational standards and governance.
- Establish risk issue management procedures to ensure the required policies and guidelines are enforced in daily operation.
- Provide assurance that internal/ external policies and regulation are fully complied with through the provision of timely, accurate and focussed risk and security specific support, reporting and recommendations.
- Strengthen the IT Security support model by enhancing existing support services such as Perimeter Security, Threat Vulnerability Management, Infrastructure Security Risk Assessment.
- Ensure IT Management and Business leaders are engaged, align to and support key strategic and tactical security initiatives.
- Demonstrate and apply a thorough understanding of complex information systems, use knowledge of the current IT environment and industry IT trends to identify the potential risk / issues, and communicate this information to the management through written correspondence and verbal presentations
Requirements:
- University graduate in Computer Science or other Information Technology discipline
- Either CISSP/ CISM/ CISA desired
- 10 years relevant experience in Information Technology with at least 5 years specialized in IT Risk and Security control area.
- Must have demonstrated leadership specific to technical information security issues as well as an understanding of the financial services industry.
- Strong communication skills to successfully translate technology and security requirements into business terms and influence senior business and IT leadership on a regional basis.
- Ability to rapidly assimilate technical change across a broad range of business and technology requirements and facilitate the development of infrastructure strategies
