VP: Java Developer – Real-time Pricing recruitment

The eCommerce Technology team is currently 50 resources globally (and growing) geographically spread across Tokyo, India, London and New York. The team builds Technology solutions for Nomura’s eCommerce offering and provide service delivery to internal and external users of the platform.

The team is made up of two core units, Run the Bank and Change the Bank. Java algo developer required to build out a global real-time pricing engine for the fixed income business. The initital focus is on Rates/Credit cash pricing but will be expanded to other products. Strong real-time pricing model knowledge is a must. The candidate must have experience of pricing eurogovies, supras or credit cash products in a real-time, low-latency environment. Experince dealing with Rates products quoted on MTS, eSpeed, BrokerTec, Bloomberg or TradeWeb is a benefit.

Run the Bank is responsible for first and second line support to the users of the platform, operating a 24+5 ‘follow the Sun' support model which is backed up by escalation to the development team. The team also performs release management, environment management and disaster recovery.

Change the Bank is responsible for mandatory and strategic project delivery for Nomura’s eCommerce offering, performing requirements gathering, design, development, testing, project management and governance. The team also provides an escalation service to the RTB team.

Role description:

•Development of a global real-time pricing platform for fixed income flow products specialising in European govies and IRS.

•Hands on development working in a strong technical team.

•Ability to write high performance real time solutions working across teams to solve problems from front to back.

2.Business service development in close collaboration with front office and middle office.

Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required

•Experience of building flexible real-time pricing models for European/US cash products

•Consumption of real-time market data

•Java

•Spring

•Object Oriented design and development

•Database and middleware experience

•Deep understanding of pricing of Rates cash and futures instruments.

•Understanding of bond analytic calculations.

•Understanding of Asset Swap and Z-spread calculations.

•Experience of full project lifecycle (requirements, design, development, testing, deployment)
