LORETTO, a not-for-profit provider of skilled nursing and rehabilitation care in CNY, is seeking an experienced, NYS licensed nursing home administrator desiring to become part of an innovative organization whose vision is “to transform eldercare in CNY”.
The candidate must possess strong business acumen, a commitment to person-centered care, demonstrated experience in developing and growing clinical programs, and a track record of strong workforce relations. This is a vice president level position, and requires experience in the operations and performance of a facility exceeding 600 beds; with demonstrated abilities to optimize case mix, expand sub-acute services, establish and meet financial objectives and performance metrics, and maintain outstanding quality of care.
The VP must be highly skilled in LTC/hospital joint partnerships and possess strong leadership skills with an ability to encourage and embrace change. Demonstrated abilities in financial management, team development and strategic planning are required, as is the ability to promote and maintain an environment responsive to all residents, their families and staff. This position will report to the President/CEO of Loretto and serve on the senior leadership team.
Qualifications include:
*Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) in NYS
*Proven ability to develop and present performance plans at the senior leadership and board level that conclusively ensure business sustainability and viability
*10 years experience at an executive or senior level in long term care/acute care settings, with a minimum of 5 years experience in managing multiple site programs
*Proven operational management experience in the business of long term care or sub-acute health services in a unionized environment
*Experience in all technological aspects, including point of care technology
*Familiarity with the principles of person centered care, including Eden Alternative, Pioneer Network or other similar models
*Solid understanding of managed care, Medicaid, Medicare and private pay insurance models as well as proposed changes in such models.
*Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and implementation; expertise with developing an expanded sub-acute services, raise acuity and increase revenue
*Bachelor’s degree in gerontology or business administration or equivalent required. Master’s in business/healthcare administration from an accredited college or university preferred
