VP, Manager
Provide HR Generalist guidance, leadership and expertise in all areas of employee relations, to all levels of management and employees. Develop, recommend, implement and coordinate policies and procedures in all areas of Human Resources to include: general employee relations, employment, compensation, benefits, group health insurance, Workers’ Compensation, employment-related legal and regulatory compliance. Assist the HR Director in providing leadership of daily administration of benefits, group health insurance, workers compensation and compensation matters and human resources policies and procedures.
1) Provide leadership and engage in the resolution of employee relations issues:
i) Investigate and offer recommendations/solutions to employee inquiries/grievances
ii) Advise managers in: employee counseling, performance monitoring and evaluation, training, and employment laws
iii) Handle communication/notifications to employees
2) In conjunction with the HR Director, develop, recommend, implement, and update policies and procedures related to employment, compensation, benefits, group health insurance, workers’ compensation, and employee relations
3) Review, recommend, and administer employee compensation
4) Co-manage, provide leadership for, coordinate and administer annual employee compensation reviews (merit and equity incentive pay programs) and performance evaluations process
5) Recommend change or enhancements, and collaborate with department management, on benefit planning - (wellness and other employee benefits) plan designs and annual renewals, etc.
6) Keep abreast of state and federal employment and benefit laws, ensuring the Bank, management and employees are in compliance.
7) Assist in identifying deficiencies and training opportunities for Managers, Supervisors and employees in employee relations related matters.
8) Partner with the HR Director and Training and Development Manager to develop, implement, facilitate and support on-going training related to employee relations and compliance with state, federal and bank policies, rules and regulations
9) Administer ESOP, 401(k) and stock option
10) Assume the duties of the HR Director in the Director’s absence.
11) Perform other functions as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Human Resources preferred. PHR/SPHR/GPHR a plus, or equivalent working experience - preferably in a corporate environment in the banking or finance industry
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of progressive human resources management/generalist experience with a minimum of 3 years of extensive employee relations experience. Experience in developing human resources guidelines and procedures in a fast-paced ever-changing environment in banking and financial services industry is preferred. Experience in developing programs that drive change in organizational culture is a plus.
- Skills/Ability: Excellent communication skills Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with all levels of employees required. Strong attention to detail and analytical problem solving skills a must. Effective communication skills. Computer skills in Word and Excel. Ability to travel to various sites. Motivated, high energy driven individual with a polished can do attitude. Able to manage multiple priorities in a high volume environment where priorities change often.
