VP Metals Middle Office recruitment
A tier one investment bank is hiring in its metals middle office setup at VP level. Outstanding command of Metals middle office functions from sales trading perspective will be key to success here, demonstrating the aptitude to contribute to the Commodities markets team as well as supervisory duties overseeing and the development of junior team members
• Oversee daily PL and product control functions (there is a separate in house Product control team), diligent management thereof and contribute to improved performance of reporting and functionality
• Constant interaction with Front Office for PL reporting and minimising disruption and errors
• Definition of best accounting practice in line with relevant country specific guidelines and legislation
• Act as a stakeholder in projects as necessary, setting out the coverage and requirements from the immediate team and department-wide perspective as appropriate. Contribute to system and procedure improvement
• Contribute to product development and business strategy, taking part in workshops as appropriate
• Monitor and help to develop junior team members, including analysis of KPI’s.
The successful candidate needs to have this background within metals from a financials perspective as opposed to physicals. The alternative because of the flow of business is from an exotics background, again, same functions.
