VP of Retail Operations
Currently we are searching for a Head of Retail Operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a strategic, results oriented individual to impact our business. Primary responsibilities will include developing, leading and executing programs that focus on improving sales, service, innovation and profitability for our company during an important and exciting growth phase. The individual will also be a senior member of our leadership team and will report directly to the President and COO of the company.

Essential Functions:
- Initiate and provide strategic operating direction for each retail location.
- Provide leadership and counsel to the executive team.
- Provide executive leadership to help build a multiple year strategic operating plan for current, new, and prospective stores.
- Direct store operations to achieve annual operating budget goals and company sales targets.
- Refine store practices that lead to superior levels of customer service.
- Provide counsel and direction in all store operating matters
- Identify, recruit, hire, and maintain an A+ sales and design team, the core of the company's success and growth
- Review and optimize organizational structure
- Provide leadership and direction to insure that future leaders of the company are identified and developed
- Utilize field and corporate resources to strategically improve company and store(s) performance
- Direct and coordinate the successful opening of new operations, store remodel projects, and special events to promote store sales.
- Monitor policies and procedures in the field to ensure compliance and eliminate risk
- Ensure implementation and execution of corporate marketing programs in the stores
- Coordinate messaging from Human Resources, Finance, Technology, Marketing, and other support functions in communicating company vision and performance measures to front line
- Promote our strong company culture and ensure that teams abide by it
- Execute effective budget achievement, inventory management, margin improvement, cost reduction, and cash flow to maximize each store’s profitability.
- Monthly analysis and optimization of PL, CFS, and BS.
Requirements:
- 10+ years retail experience managing and/or directing store based operations in a high paced, fast growth environment.
- BA or BS degree required
- Master’s degree or MBA a plus
- Experience in strategic planning leading to store level execution.
- Ability to effectively influence a senior leadership team and company owners.
- Prior demonstrated results in the development and motivation of people across an organization, not just within a function.
- Knowledge of retail operations and an ability to provide a high level of customer service utilizing a very productive labor model

- Multi-unit experience in a dynamic, large-scale retail or services organization with demonstrated progressive upward career mobility
- Indirect and/or direct supervision of support functions (Finance, Human Resources, Training, Marketing, Real Estate, and Store Design)
- Real Estate, Marketing and Multi-Channel expertise a plus
- Financial statement comprehension
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - both oral and written.
- Excellent individual customer service skills.
- Must be able to exercise independent judgment and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and to hit deadlines.
